Introduction to Jazmine Colon, Vice-Chair
Hola! My name is Jazmine Colon and I will be one of your vice chairs for OAS this year. I am a second year student at UC Berkeley double majoring in Chicano/a Studies and Political Science with a concentration in International Relations. This is my second year vice-charing for OAS and I am extremely excited to meet you all during conference!
Alongside BMUN, I have past involvement on campus with the ASUC focusing on the professional and academic development for women of color. Additionally, my advocacy efforts have led me to organizations such as CALPIRG and Generation Ratify.
Outside of my academic and professional interests, I enjoy reading and curating Spotify playlists, taking walks and working out, and most significantly spending time with my dog Coco!
This year's OAS topics are incredibly important to understanding the effect those in power and a place of privilege have on these issues and the actions they must take to progress and protect the rights of land and indigenous peoples and communities in the region. Thus, I cannot wait to hear your thoughts and solutions at this conference!
