Introduction to Gaby Ocazionez, Vice-Chair

 Hola Todos!

My name is Gabriela Ocazionez, and I’m going to be one of your OAS vice-chairs this year. I’m currently a freshman with an intended major in Legal Studies and a minor in women and gender studies. This is my first time as vice-chair of OAS, and I couldn’t be more excited! 

I’ve always been very passionate about Latin American politics, especially since my family’s from Colombia, so I’m thrilled to see what you guys bring to committee. I can’t wait to see how the upcoming Colombian presidential elections turn out! 

In my free time, I enjoy baking, thrifting (sustainable clothing for the win), watching movies (Wes Anderson’s my favorite), and going on pleasant strolls while listening to murder podcasts! Some of my favorite movies include Coraline, The Royal Tenenbaums, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Hereditary, and Knives Out.  

I’m so excited to meet you all in committee soon, and I hope you guys have a fantastic experience with us at Berkeley. Nos vemos pronto!
